Background: Adolescence is an important period in life where the quality of performance can be very effective on the mental health of people in adulthood. Currently, the lives of all people, especially teenagers, have an inseparable and deep connection with cyberspace, for which many opportunities and harms can be considered. Considering the sensitivity of the teenage period, it is emphasized to design efficient and up-to-date and culture-based interventions in the field of reducing the harmful dependence on cyberspace in teenagers.
Objective: This research was conducted with the aim of developing and validating an educational package to reduce traumatic addiction to cyberspace in teenagers.
Method: The method of this research was qualitative and mixed with research synthesis method. In order to design the educational package, the results and theoretical foundations of the conducted researches were used. In order to ensure the desired validity of the educational package, the content validity method was used using the Lavshe model with a panel of 10 experts, including experts in the field of psychology and educational sciences, and two quantitative coefficients, the content validity ratio and the content validity index, were used.
Findings: Based on the studies, a training package was developed in the form of 9 sessions. The results of this research showed that all closed meetings are necessary and the content of all meetings was found to be completely related or related to the goals.
Conclusion: The results showed that the educational package for reducing traumatic addiction to cyberspace in teenagers has good content validity and has the necessary validity and reliability for consulting and research applications. In other words, the compiled educational package has the ability to reduce the harmful dependence on cyberspace in teenagers.
